Killer lines we hear, sadly, also and even mostly from those we love, and upon whom, though it might pain us beyond enduring, we should practice the art of detachment:
"What meteorite? If there had been a meteorite, I'd have heard of it. No tv channel or newspaper were showing any story about a meteorite".
All the more scary because spoken with quasi-religious fervor on behalf of some elusive social construct, such moments are a faithful depiction of the true divisions among people.
